The primary goals of county law enforcement (Sheriff's Offices) are to preserve peace, protect lives and property, and
ensure public safety by preventing and investigating crimes, maintaining order, and supporting the court system
through tasks like jail operations, prisoner transport, and serving legal documents, all while building community trust.
Current term expires December 31, 2028.

In FY2025, the Law Enforcement expenditures budgeted amounted to $14 million, reflecting a 10.01% increase from the
previous period. Actual expenditures for FY2025 were $12.8 million, which is 8.8% higher than the prior period's actuals.
For FY2026, the expenditures budgeted increased to $14.7 million, representing a 5.58% rise compared to the FY2025
budgeted amount. This continues the upward trend in budgeted expenditures observed in the previous year.
